New Zealand vs South Africa Live Stream Watch World T20

South Africa know they cannot afford to slip up on Monday when they face New Zealand in a crucial Group 1 clash in the ICC World Twenty20.

Having lost to Sri Lanka by five runs in their opening match of the tournament, the Proteas are likely to need to win their remaining three fixtures in the round-robin stage to reach the semi-finals.

They have little time to lick their wounds after a narrow defeat in Chittagong on Saturday, with the Black Caps - who got the better of England at the same ground in a rain-shortened contest - now firmly in their sights.New Zealand vs South Africa Live Stream Watch World T20

Batsman JP Duminy knows the pressure is on as they look to get off the mark with games against England and the Netherlands still to come.

"There's always going to be that added pressure on us now, depending on how other results go we're probably going to have to win all three," the left-hander - who top-scored with 39 in South Africa's unsuccessful run chase against the Sri Lankans - said.

"We want to make sure that we give ourselves the best chance in this tournament and that unfortunately means winning the last three games.

"That's what it is and we're going to have to play accordingly."
Tough

The Black Caps have won four of their last five outings in the Twenty20 format and Duminy recognises that they will be a tough nut to crack at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Kane Williamson, who was unbeaten on 24 alongside his captain when the players left the field, acknowledges that while they now have points on the board, the Kiwis cannot afford to relax.

"Tournaments like this you always want to win every game you can and South Africa will always be tough opponents," he said.

"It's the nature of T20, that everyone is a threat, but our focus doesn't change. We want to keep on top of our game and just play the way we want to play."

Pakistan vs West Indies 1st T20 Live Cricket Streaming

Two unfamiliar foes with impressive pedigrees in cricket's shortest format meet as Pakistan conclude their short tour of the West Indies with T20 Internationals in St Vincent on Saturday and Sunday.

Brimming with confidence following a 3-1 triumph in the five-match One-Day International series which concluded on Wednesday in neighbouring St Lucia, the visitors will nevertheless be wary of taking on a home side that has played unbeaten since lifting the World T20 title last October in Sri Lanka.

Curiously, there has been only one previous meeting between the two teams in this version, on Pakistan's last visit to the Caribbean in 2011 when the West Indies held on for a seven-run victory at the Beausejour Stadium.Pakistan vs West Indies 1st T20 Live Cricket Streaming

The weekend fixtures therefore represent an opportunity to redress that deficiency on a stage where both teams are blessed with players who appear to revel in the sport's newest and most popular incarnation.

For all their struggles in ODI's in the past month, Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard will be expected to return to their dominating, destructive best with the bat in the manner that has made them among the most sought-after players for the many T20 competitions now played around the world.

Pakistan, with Mohammad Hafeez at the helm, also have a stage to showcase their explosive, match-winning talents to any interested franchises while at the same time seeking to reinforce their country's impressive reputation in the 20-over-per-side variety.

Winners of the World T20 in 2009 in England, they were beaten finalists to India in the inaugural event in South Africa two years earlier and reached the semi-finals as defending champions in the West Indies in 2010.

They have brought in three T20 specialists - batsman Hammad Azam, seamer Sohail Tanvir and all-rounder Zulfiqar Babar - to complement the likes of the mercurial Shahid Afridi.

West Indies, with Darren Sammy back as captain, have also drafted in a trio with skills specifically suited to T20 cricket in spinner Samuel Badree, fast bowler Shannon Gabriel and all-rounder Christopher Barnwell.

Coming as they do on the eve of the inaugural Caribbean Premier League T20 tournament, the weekend showdowns at Arnos Vale are therefore an ideal curtain-raiser for that event while also offering Pakistan the chance to conclude what has already been a successful campaign by stealing the thunder from the world champions in their own backyard.

Teams: West Indies - D. Sammy (capt), C. Gayle, J. Charles, D.M. Bravo, M. Samuels, L. Simmons, D.J. Bravo, K. Pollard, D. Sammy, C. Barnwell, S. Narine, T. Best, S. Gabriel.

Pakistan - Mohammad Hafeez (capt), Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed, Hammad Azam, Haris Sohail, Umar Amin, Asad Shafiq, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Saeed Ajmal, Sohail Tanvir, Wahab Riaz, Asad Ali, Zulfiqar Babar, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan.

Shikhar Dhawan, who grabbed the headlines during the home Tests against Australia and has done well in the IPL since recovering from a hand injury, has made the 15. Allrounder Irfan Pathan, seamer Vinay Kumar and batsman M Vijay also make a comeback.Dhawan, Vijay, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma as specialist batsmen. Pakistan vs South Africa 2nd ODI Live Match - Live Scorecard

CENTURIAN: A comfortable and convincing victory over Pakistan in the first ODI will reignite public admiration for the South Africa in the limited overs arena, while Pakistan simply made too many mistakes. Whether the tourists have the ability to rectify these mistakes is another question entirely, one that will surely be answered at Centurion.

Following their T20 win, Pakistan were soaring. The first ODI loss will have brought them back down to ground. Everything just seemed to go wrong for touring side but the problems they encountered won’t be new ones. Captain Misbah indicated as much post-match. He made the wrong decision after winning the toss and put too much emphasis on his spin contingent on an unresponsive pitch. Pakistan were a seamer short on a flat wicket, which yet again points the finger of blame at the selectors after widespread controversy over the set-up.

One, Pakistan need to look at their bowling department and consider playing an extra quick bowler after they went into the opener with only two of them. On a pace-friendly track they fell very short of defending against the South African batsmen.

Secondly, the batting needs to improve but that is something that has been said about them throughout the tour. In a format that they prefer over the Tests, the general feeling was that they would do a better job with the bat but the pressure of chasing such a big total probably put paid to their plans.

Colin Ingram’s picture perfect century on Sunday has seen him make a strong claim for a permanent position at first drop, despite coming in at number four as AB de Villiers promoted himself to three. What is worrying is the fact that Ingram has a fantastic record in Bloemfontein and against Pakistan, which often conspires to mask the fact that he has been pretty inconsistent at international level. South Africa will welcome back Dale Steyn who should be fit for this game which means that Kyle Abbott could be left out of the side. In the absence of any other injuries the same side could otherwise be played with Graeme Smith and Hashim Amla batting at the top of the order and Faf du Plessis buffering up their middle. Morkel is still in doubt with a hamstring injury.

Teams:
South Africa (probable) 1 Graeme Smith, 2 Hashim Amla, 3 Colin Ingram, 4 AB de Villiers (capt & wk), 5 Faf du Plessis, 6 Farhaan Behardien, 7 Ryan McLaren, 8 Robin Peterson, 9 Rory Kleinveldt, 10 Dale Steyn/Kyle Abbott, 11 Lonwabo Tsotsobe.

Pakistan (probable) 1 and 2 Nasir Jamshed/Kamran Akmal/Mohammad Hafeez, 3 Younis Khan, 4 Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), 5 Asad Shafiq, 6 Shoaib Malik, 7 Shahid Afridi, 8 Umar Gul, 9 Saeed Ajmal, 10 Junaid Khan, 11 Mohammed Irfan.

South Africa vs Pakistan 2nd ODI Live Scorecard 2013

South Africa has won the toss and elected to bat field in the second ODI match against Pakistan at the Centurion.

Pakistan lost the first ODI of the five match series.

It has been five days since South Africa delivered one of their more convincing ODI victories but the time in between matches means it's likely the only momentum around will be the sponsors' name. The hosts enjoyed a short break with the most important change being that of regaining their premier strike bowler while Pakistan have had time to digest and regroup.South Africa vs Pakistan 2nd ODI Live Scorecard 2013

The series is almost starting anew this weekend with a double header on the Highveld which could end with the contest being decided by Sunday. For South Africa, that would signal the Champions Trophy preparation is well on track. Pakistan have to derail them to ensure next week's fixtures in Durban and Benoni provide a fitting end to the summer.

To judge Pakistan's one-day side on the Bloemfontein effort would be as unfair judging their Test outfit on the 49 all out at the Wanderers. As they showed in the longer format, they improved steadily as the contest went on and they can be expected to do that and more in the shorter version.

Tactically, they made poor decisions in the first match particularly in the make-up of their bowling attack. But crucially, they lacked energy, so much so that they asked stadium management to place a case of Red Bull in their dressing room hours before the match. The lethargy resulted in a mediocre showing in all departments and Misbah-ul-Haq conceded that a collective improvement is needed if they hope to compete.

South Africa, on the other hand, had a near-perfect showing. Their opening batsmen were slow and steady, the middle order piled it on and the bowlers finished off with enough menace and skill to satisfy captain AB de Villiers.

He still wants them to improve, not on anything specific as much as on consistency. Their recent one-day form has seen performances like theirs on Sunday, followed up by performances like Pakistan's. De Villiers wants to see them continue to apply themselves throughout the three weeks this five-match series goes on for. Only then will he consider them properly prepared for the challenges to come.

It has been a quiet few matches for Faf du Plessis , who has not scored a half-century since the home series against Pakistan began. If there is a venue where he would like to change that, it must be Centurion. Du Plessis grew from a boy to a man at the venue and has played all his domestic cricket for the Titans franchise. Although the South Africa middle order looked decidedly firmer in Bloemfontein, it is far from completely solid and du Plessis will play an important part in firming it up.

Mohammad Hafeez is one half of the alleged battle for power in the Pakistan setup. Although any suggestion of strife has been dismissed by the team management, if anything was simmering below the surface the loss last Sunday could have made it boil over. Hafeez claims he would prefer to open but, as in the Twenty20 squad, it may be better for him to drop down a place in order to provide either security or the ability to accelerate. Hafeez's bowling will also be important to Pakistan's chances of successes and he will be depended on to squeeze the hosts when needed.
